1.) Greater user interaction
2.) Link the website to the Wii Console (believe it or not we are 80% complete)
3.) Increase the userbase
4.) Think of creative ways to gain revenue without charging the users, and making the website look bad
5.) Stop hating bugs
6.) Take the website on the road!

What’s in store for the new year?
That’s a great question. We don’t want to spoil all the fun for everyone and give away everything …. But we have been listening to our user base. We’ve reached out to some of you asking what we can do to help improve the website and what you need from us. Most of them responded back with “Jason the site is nice, but we need more interaction with each other”. We are rapidly working on giving our users access to forums where you can talk what ever you wish, private messaging where you can interact with each other and plan events, and we’ll tie it all together with a single login.

We’ve also gotten a lot of really great idea’s which we are thinking over and picking out which ones we can do. In short, new things will be coming in the next couple of months.

Updates, Stats, and Errors

Ok, before I forget I want to give a HUGE thank you to Nikki (username: kolaloo) for helping get the word out about our website!

Searching Errors (dreaded error 500)

Good news is the website is growing, but the bad news is some of the features can't support a website this large. We're working on finding a solution that will hopefully be the last modification to the user search. It is taking us a little bit, but we're trying to make it scalable to thousands of users. This should 'should' be done this week. In the mean time please don't do open ended searches, meaning always make sure you're searching for either a game or a username and not everyone currently on the website.

New Feature - Buy Now / Learn More Links

We've gotten some fan mail from Amazon the other week. They've accepted us as an affiliate to their website! Above every game you will now see either one of these links:
Learn More - If you already have the game you can learn more quickly
Buy Now - Don't own it, will direct you to the same website where you can purchase it

Fixes that we have completed today:

-the timer (60mins actually equals 60mins now)
-new friend requests are updating now, and not showing duplicates

Yes, I will post the stats here. Why note, we're damn proud of them. How many websites can post these stats after only 3weeks in operation? While the website was running in alpha testing, we don't count that. We say the birth of the website is 12/11/2008 as that was the very first person to signup that stumbled awkwardly into our site.
